Vesey Nature Reserve is an 8-acre sanctuary encompassing part of Evans Pond and a remarkable variety of natural features. Explore two historic quarries – one inland and one along the coast – a natural limestone sinkhole, and diverse habitats that range from a lush woodland valley to the rocky shoreline of the Little Sound.
A self-guided interpretive trail leads visitors through the reserve, highlighting its unique habitats, native flora and fauna. Along the way, an observation platform offers beautiful views across the Sound and provides the perfect spot to pause and enjoy a picnic.
The property was donated to Buy Back Bermuda by Sharon Vesey in 2009 and was restored as a nature reserve with public donations. Vesey Nature Reserve was opened to the public on Earth Day, 22nd April 2013.
