With 10 acres of protected woodland and open space to explore, High Point Nature Reserve offers something for everyone. Wander along scenic walking trails, enjoy panoramic views of Bermuda’s South Shore and the Great Sound, and discover the picturesque ruins that add to the reserve’s charm and history.
High Point is one of the best places to observe Bermuda’s iconic Longtail (White-tailed Tropicbird). These graceful seabirds return to the island in February, filling the skies with spectacular aerial courtship displays before nesting in cavities along the cliff faces. Each summer, approximately 2,500–3,000 pairs of Longtails breed in Bermuda, making a visit during the nesting season especially memorable.
The land that became High Point Nature Reserve was purchased by Buy Back Bermuda through a generous private donation and restored as a nature reserve with the support of individuals and companies. The reserve was officially opened to the public on Earth Day, 22 April 2025.
